General club rules
1. Violations of the 4 safe gun handling rules will be immediate DQ from the rest of the match.
a. Always keep the gun pointed in a safe direction (laser rule applies here).
b. Always keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot.
c. Keep the gun unloaded until directed to load it by the RO (range officer.)
d. Know your target and what is beyond.
2. All violations of rule number 1 will be reported to the MD (Match Director) immediately.
3. All questions should be directed to the MD at his earliest convenience.
4. All participants (shooters and spectators) shall behave in a manner consistent with good stewards of the sport.
a. All participants violating rule 4 will be asked to change their behavior or leave.
5. All entry fees will be considered a donation and will be given to organization or association that the match has been designated for.
6. We will shoot in all weather conditions with the exception of lightening. Be ready to shoot in all weather conditions.
7. Match points will only be recorded if more than half the stages are completed.
8. Match fees will not be refunded unless less than half the stages have been shot, at which point they will be prorated back to the shooter.
Match rules(this is a general guideline, Rules for each stage will be discussed at the shooters meeting prior to the match)
1. General club rules always apply first. No violation of these will be tolerated.
2. Shooters will be broke up into equal squads and assigned to shooting stations.
a. Shooters will be allowed to verbally assist other shooters until either timed session is started, but no physical assistance will be allowed.
3. Upon arriving at shooting area, shooters will be given a stage card.
a. Stage card will have target size, target material, location of stage shooting station, any physical challenges and time limits.
b. Shooter will then be asked if he under stands the stage.
1. If shooter understands the stage and acknowledges, 1 minute (60 secs) will begin at which point he will be given the oppurtunity to look through RO spotting scope to
see the stage target and make all necessary preperations to make the shot with the exception of closing the bolt on a live round. Shooter may load the magazine, but not
close the bolt or charge the gun.
a. Shooter will acknowledge that 1 min has expired and will stand with firearm in port of arms with bolt open. Commands from RO will be "SHOOTER READY?" "STANDBY" and
BUZZER from timer will start 1 min timed shooting session.
2. After BUZZER, shooter then has 60 seconds to discharge the firearm for the first hit points. If shooter does not discharge the firearm within the first 60 seconds, no second
shot will be allowed nor permitted.
a. 10 second time limit begins once shooter has shot first time (within first 60 sec time limit) to engage the target again with the second shot.
b. Stage ends there. No additional time will be allowed. Any shots after 10 second 2nd shot chance will not be allowed.
3. Shooter will immediately unload the firearm and pick up items.
a. That cylce will reoccur for every stage to be shot.
4. Hits and misses will be relayed to the shooter via verbal "HIT" or "MISS" by RO.
a. RO verbal "HIT" or "MISS" is not disputable.
5. If shooter has a firearm malfunction during a stage (once ANY time has started) he may attempt to fix it in the time alloted. He will not be allowed to re-shoot the stage. Any
points he has up to that point in the stage will count.
a. If shooter is able to fix firearm, he will be allowed to shoot the remaining stages.
b. If shooter is unable to fix firearm, they may be allowed to retrieve second long gun and continue next stage COF.
1. Second long gun can not be exchanged for rest of entire match. ie: No changing of calibers for the ideal cartridge for particular target.
6. Points will be acquired as such.
a. First shot hits on the painted, moveable section of the target will be worth 10 points.
b. Second shot hits on the painted, moveable section of the target will be worth 5 points.
1. For a total of 15 points per stage.
2. If both shots are misses, = 0 points.
c. Shooter with highest total score will be the winner.
7. Shooting positions will be established as such.
a. Shooters muzzle will remain within 24" of stage stake, flag or paint.
1. This will be measured at conclusion of both shoots by shooter in shooting position. If muzzle is not within 24", all points for that stage will be forfeited.
b. Shooting positions will be established by the environment.
8. Shooters will be ready when their name is called to keep the stages moving in a timely manner.
9. Equipment restrictions.
a. Range finders allowed.
b. Slings or other shooting aids are allowed.
c. Any caliber allowed as long as the bullet diameter does not exceed .324".
d. No steel core ammunition allowed.
e. Any sort of bipod, tripod or shooting rest is allowed.
f. Shooter may bring anything to the staging area that he can carry in by himself in one trip, with exception to 9.g.
g. Shooter may NOT bring any secondary firearm (pistol or revolver) to the staging or shooting area.
10. Tie breaker elimination rule, in case of tie in total match scores.
a. Tie breaker rule will only apply to top 3 positions. No other scores will apply to tie breaker.
b. Ties will be broken by shooter with most # of A hits. If ties still stands, tie will be broken by shooter with most # of B hits.
c. If tie still exists, shooters in tie will be given one target, one shot and 25 second time limit to setup, load and hit target. This will occur and be run by the MD.
Sudden death elimination style.
000. MD has final say and his/her decision stands. Formal complaint shall be issued, post match, via email and will be evaluated for the benefit of
AZPRC and the sport.
